Tried out the evaluation version of this authoring program, thinking it would be the answer to my prayers ...typical... more headaches!
Whenever I import DVD MPEG2 video, or try to work with non-imported MPEG2 video, it doesn't matter if I created it on Pinnacle Studio 7, or TMPGEnc, it always gives me the same error.
Instead of saying:
MPEG2 (DVD Compliant)
720 x 480
it says...
MPEG2 SYS (Mismatched Resolution)
720 x 540
...and therefore, won't let me add ANY video!![]()
Now, I KNOW the video I'm working with is NOT 720 x 540. What gives???
Nothing in the help files, nothing on their website...
Any solutions?

I bought and downloaded the full version and this happened to me the first time I used it.
I think I accidently selected one of the included sample movie files along with my mpeg-2 file. This may have caused my mismatch error. I exited the program and tried it again; this time carefull not to include the sample movie file.
The program works fine for me. I'm importing DVD format mgeg-2 files created by TMPGEnc. -
I was thinking that may be the problem too, so I deleted those sample files, exited, came back, and the same thing keeps happening.

Never had a problem loading NTSC DVD compliant Mpeg 2 files created with TMPGEnc or Ligos. Did you try a reinstall?

So far, every last authoring program I've tried has sucked in one friggin way or another. SpruceUp and that overpriced ULEAD DVD WORKSHOP ($350) are the only ones that ever came even remotely close to doing what I want them to do, but even those have issues:
.....Ulead causes an undesirable blocky frame every so often when it encodes the audio/video or iso files, to the point where the picture and audio will cut-out or get very blocky for a second when this happens.
.....SpruceUp does not want to import "Pinnacle Studio 7" MPEG2's. I always have to re-encode with TMPGenc for a day per file if I want SpruceUp to recognize them!
If I don't get a satisfactory reply from the folks at Dazzle, it looks like it's back to the drawing board (for an AFFORDABLE authoring solution).
