  1. Hi!

    Total video-newbie here!

I need to make a playable BR-disc (no menu) based on the folders from an Blu-Ray-ISO. I have stripped the ISO and converted the M2TS-file with tsMuxeR. Afterwards I've tried to use Nero Multimedia Suite 10, made a BDMVideo and burned it - but that didn't work. Sigh!

What am I doing wrong? Would you recommend another program than Nero for the burning?

I have both MAC and PC system here.

    Thanks a lot

    /H

I would recommend imgburn, see http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=9512

But not all blu-ray players supports blu-ray on bdr/e media.

You should post your make and model of BluRay player as someone may know if there is anything special you need to do to get it to play back BluRay discs. tsmuxer can produce both BluRay and AVCHD output and its possible that your player only likes one of them and that's not what you made. To make things worse, as Baldrick points out BD-R/E media may not work on some players. For example, I have a Momitsu BluRay player and it plays BD-R and BD-R DL discs fine. It even plays the BD-R LTH discs which some players don't like. But I've got one BD-RE (this means re-writable) disc and it absolutely will not play it. We don't know what brand or type of discs you have tried so you should mention that too.

Avoid the Mac and use ImgBurn on your PC. You'll need to burn a UDF 2.50 disc.

  4. Wow! I've just opened Pandoras Box

Well, the situation is a bit changed since my regular video-guy is back (via Skype from his vacation) and he trying to get the original video and ac3-audio-files and he recommend that I use Encore to do the dirty work - the video is produced in Premier. Gosh, this is a jungle! :S

But is this a general thing that not all BR-players are not supported? Or is this only when working with programs like tsmuxer?

Anyway, thanks a lot for the input and the enlightenments... I'm going to wait and see what my guy can do first.

    Cheers

Since you ignored the first sentence in my response, which was intended to help you, I'm not going to answer any more of your questions. I'm done here. Good luck.
