  1. Is there a program out there that can look at my AVI and tell me.....

    - if it was encoded with DiVX
    - what version of DiVX it was encoded with
    - audio and video bitrates
    - resolution

    What about a program that gives me info on my MPG file, such as...

    - if it was encoded with MPEG1 or 2
    - resolution
    - audio and video bitrates

    My Windows Media Player doesn't give me too much info!!

    As far as AVI compreseion goes, if its a movie file in AVI chances are its a DivX. If it was just a uncopressed avi it would be hugh in size.

    Finding out info on a mpg.......there is a program in the tools section(or used to be) called mpg properties, thats probably what you want.
