I will be recording in 1080/60p. I want to make some high quality home movies for fun. I have Windows 7.
I'm a complete newbe.
Thanks everyone in advance for your help.

do you have a recent quad-core computer? you will need some decent horsepower to edit avchd 1080 60p. and you WILL need to re-encode it to get it to play off a blu-ray or dvd disc as 1080 60p isn't an accepted format. vegas movie studio 11 HD might be a good starter. they have a free trial to check it out first before buying.

I have a TM900 Panny and it works fine with VideoStudio PRO X4. Also, they have an excellent forum-great for Newbies as you obviously are by the tenor of your question. http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewforum.php?f=1
If you go the VideoStudio way, don't get the download-get the box with the manual.
The current price is about $50.00-not $100.00 as it was initially.Last edited by pepegot1; 7th Aug 2011 at 09:42.
