So I've done some captures and intend to produce a fair bit of HD footage from a Go Pro HD camera over the next few months.

I've been recommended looking at Magix Edit Pro 17 so I've got it setup and had a little play with it. I've found the Ad Break detection part but it hasn't worked 100% - although it has allowed me to drag the markers around myself to get the selections correct then right click them to remove the ad.

Does anyone know if its possible to add the starting and ending ad break marker manually at the current position in the video??
If I can manually add them it will speed up the selection no end.

Failing that, some details or a guide on a manual method of selecting (i.e. start and end) to allow me to cut out the video I don't need.

Why don't you post the log file from Mediainfo a file inspection program that reveals most of the parameters of a video file - this will at least give some information of the type of file you are working with and what alternative software packages may give better results.

I'm working with h262 in a m2ts file, ripped using a HD PVR at 1080i.

I'm open to suggestions on alternitives but i'm looking for a quick learning curve as the stuff I'm after doing isn't all that complicated so I on't want to spend too much time learning the software if possible. I've tried the likes of Vegas and Premier but they seem far too complicated, also tried pinnicle studio but found it a but unstable.
