I have some 680 MB mpg files that are from a wireless camera and a Siig video capture device. Each file is 30 minutes in length. I want to remove all frames that are the same, except for some noise.

I would like command prompt software that would strip off these frames, leaving segments of video that have a person or animal moving. The camera is stationary and indoors, so there can be whole files with no change.

Is there some software that can do this? If it must be a GUI interface, at least it should work in a batch mode.

    Thanks for you help.

Is this a security type camera?

Is there constant lighting? If not then any area lighting change looks like motion. Motion algorithms ignore slow light changes and look instead for fast pixel motion changes.

It is wireless spy cam used as a security cam.
There is gradual change of light during the day. At night it is black when the lights are off so all I need is t remove all black scenes. When the light is turned on there is constant lighting, and the camera is fixed position and fixed focus.

I'm not that familiar with current security camera software offerings but most will identify frames with short term object motion.
