    Hi guys,

I've recently downloaded Avidemux, and was wondering if it was possible to render clips in HD (720p/1080p on YouTube), and how I could remove the black borders around the YouTube video (they're not in the actual program, so I assume it's just a resolution error?) I'm using Linux Ubuntu if it makes a difference.

If I could get some help or step by step instructions that would be great...

    Thank you,
    Aeterna

    I changed your thread title.

You can output/render your video in HD. If your source isn't HD you can upsize under Filters->Resize...but you wont get better quality by doing this. Use mpeg-4 avc/h264 under the video and AAC under the audio, save as mp4.

Use the Crop filter to remove black border, under Filters->Crop. Use the preview to see how it looks like. After you cropped you might want to resize, Filter->Resize.
