I'm trying to blur out some logos and compress a avi recorded with fraps, but vdub is taking like 2hrs to encode a 2min video. When i look in Task Manger, it seems that vdub is only using 25% of my cpu? Anyone know what's wrong?
    I'm runing a 2500k btw

  2. VirtualDub's filter chain is single threaded. Slow filters can result in that becoming a bottleneck. Some decoders and encoders are single threaded. Those can become bottlenecks too. Disk I/O can become a bottleneck with uncompressed or lightly compressed video.

Are there any other programs out there that will allow me to cut, blur and compress with xvid that will allow multi threading? Right now it's only rendering at like 1fps

  4. AviSynth can be run multithreaded. I'm not sure about AviDemux.
