    Hi all,

    I have an Australian SAMSUNG HT-C550 DVD player which I used a code on to make region free but now it only plays NTSC DVDs and won't play Australian Region 4.

    Anyone know how I can make it truly Region Free or does this model have a counter on it, as none of the codes I've tried are working for me.

    p.s. The remote control has the code AH59-02291A

    By any chance did you do a firmware upgrade after you made it region free? Those have been known to have weird effects on hacks. Sometimes they even break them permanently.

    That's one of the techniques I tried but no dice. Thanks for the reply though - appreciate it.

    I haven't done a firmware upgrade - that I know of - I wouldn't know how to.
