  1. I am using Zoom player (why, because i find it to be to my liking), and i want to use the best decoders and renderers that produces the best result. For example, there is many video renderers, Madvr seems to be the "best" but it kinda bugs for me so i need some help there, and codecs, some audio codecs donīt produce high quality decoding (or so i heard), and with video there is color space and level range.

So in the end, what i want to know is:

What Video renderer is the best, and how to use it well.
What codec is best (i use ffdshow tryout, maybe there is some settings etc)
What splitters to use, Lav splitter, haali, etc.
And what source filters (donīt really know what this is)

I am pretty much a noob, but not totally, so hope you can help me, and maybe others on the way

  2. About renderer it depends what is your system XP,Win7 ...

You can try this splitter - very capable.

  3. i got Win 7, and what i mean with "the Best" is, what produces the best results, with best performance. For example, i use EVR and a video renderer cause i think itīs extremely fast when i am skipping back and forth through movies and such, but i donīt know if it produces the "original" picture, or if it changes anything, colorspace and such thing.

EDIT: Tried the splitter, sadly it doesnīt work friendly with zoom players replay, thanks for the suggestion though!

  4. Well, i have found that Gabest Avi Splitter works very well, and Madflac for playing Flac files.
MPC Ogg splitter works very well as many splitters fail with ogg, making them play to short, either skipping the ending or beginning by some seconds.
