From my last post, I've successfully been able to record from streaming sites. But I've come across a site where I haven't been able to capture:
http://www.vh1.com/video/that-metal-show/full-episodes/carmine-appice-dave-meniketti/1...playlist.jhtml
I've used download helper, firefox's flash video downloader, StreamTransport, StreamHijacker and even VLC. The most that would happen is I could record the advertisement in the beginning.
I'm wondering if there's some kind of encryption on this site that keeps people from downloading its content?

Most commercial streaming sites are encrypted now. Adobe goes to great lengths to make it difficult to download from them. It's a constant cat and mouse game between Adobe (and Microsoft) and the companies that make the download software.
Try RTMPDump and RTMPExplorer.Last edited by jagabo; 29th Jul 2011 at 11:10.
