    or the other way around
    I am currently encoding my movies in mkv but am wondering if I should be using mp4 instead
    I use PS3 media server with a ps3 as well as computer playback

    The mp4s might work directly on the ps3 without any streaming. But if you are only streaming with ps3 media server it shouldn't matter that much.

    are there any disadvantages to it?
    like mkv supports chater nfo, does .mp4?
