My Cable box is by my new DVD recorder but my two Tvs are not (logistics dictate where the TVs are). TV One has composite and component connections; TV Two has only composite connections but with a mini plug/jack on its end.
The cables that came with the devices are too short to reach from the DVD to either TV. Are there cable extenders for composite/component cables? If so, is there a difference in the output using extenders? Or does it degrade the signal and I should just try to buy long (10') cables instead? (assuming that they have a long RCA->mini-plug cable for TV Two).
Thank you

Either will work for composite video but I'd buy single cables of correct length. Check out monoprice

You may need to build a custom RCA-Miniplug if you can't find it at monoprice.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

Thanks edDV. They have the cables except for the RCA -> Mini. I found that one on B&H though it's an angle plug - it should be OK, though.
I appreciate your help. -
There will be no difference in audio or video quality whether you use extension cables (along with your existing cables) or a new longer cable (unless one of the cables is bad). But it's cheaper and easier to find normal long A/V cables. For RCA/mini pin plug audio use one of these:

And, at 10 feet, there's no reason to spend more than US$10. US$100 cables won't give a better picture or sound. -
Thank you, Jagabo, for your help. And that adapter likes look just the thing I need, at least for the audio.
