  1. Whats going on here? I have a directory with 10 sealab episodes in it. All mpg. I think 2 of them totally lock my computer up when they are opened, previewed in windows explorer, or even brought into the ulead dvd authoring program i use. yet my roomate can play them with ease. These damn divx codecs and all the other junk you need to view some of these files screwed my puter up. Who is knowledgeable enough to help me solve this? Heres a little on my system

    Win2k Pro
WMP 6.4 - Tried installing wmp7, that didnt fix it
DivX 3.11 and 5.0. Tried removing 3.11 that didnt fix it
    P4 1.5,256ram,geforce3ti200.

  4. Ok for anyone that ever has this problem I fixed it. Apparently there was a bleep or some glitch in the first few frames of these mpg's that caused WMP to freeze. Although I can play them on another PC on my home network. So I cut off the first 50 frames and it opens fine. 8)
