It's been a couple years since I've borrowed my dads Canon Vixia HF100 video camera and was hoping things had gotten easier for editing the videos it takes. Here's the situation. I recorded my groups two concerts. Each show was two acts, and each act filled one 8GB memory card. I then copied the complete file structure of the memory cards to my 2TB external drive so I could give him back the camera and edit the shows on my own time. So I have four main folders of video. Since each act was about 45 mins long the camera had to chop the files up when they hit the 2GB mark. So far I've tried importing the video into Adobe Premiere CS5.5 and Cyberllink PowerDirector 9 and they both leave gaps in the video where the .MTS files split, instead of having it all flow seamlessly together like it should be. Am I importing them the wrong way? Should I merge/convert them to a different format before using those programs, or should I use a different a video editor all together? It's so frustrating having the video and audio drop out for a couple seconds in the middle of a song. Please help!!!

P.S. I've been editing the vids on a Windows 7 64-bit machine, but I also have a Macbook, but thought I'd ask the experts in the forums before banging my head against the wall any further. Windows or Mac tips accepted!
