    Hi all!

I have a corrupt wmv file I want to fix with asfbin.

But when I try to unzip the asfbin download with winrar I get no files to extract error.

    Any ideas?

I picked up ASFBINWIN (the GUI version) from the link here at VH. Unpacked it with no problem, and the program is certainly usable. But, as indicated in my Tool Section review, there does not seem to be any Guide for it, and instructions are lacking. I did manage to trim a couple .WMV files with it, after some trial and error messing around. Fixing a corrupt .WMV is something else again, and I would very much like to learn how to do it with this program. Absent a must-fix-this-one situation, I don't have the time for a lot more experimentation to try to figure it out.

I seem to recall someone posting here that AVIDEMUX could fix some corrupt files also -- by re-saving them, perhaps to another format ?? -- but it ddi not show any signs of accepting WMV as an input option, when I looked at it.
When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ -- with over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this quintessentially American art form.
