  1. (Which topics go in each forum is a little confusing, so if this is in the wrong forum, please move. Sorry about that.)

I'm trying to convert a 90 min DiVX avi to a SVCD using TMPGEnc v2.02.
But the problem is that the resulting MPG file has NO Audio !!

I had DiVX 3.11 installed and got no audio, so then I tried installing DiVX 5.0 Pro and I still get the same thing: an MPG with no audio.

In TMPGEng, I use the standard SVCD NTSC template, except I change the Rate Control Mode to CBR 2100kbps so this movie will fit on 2 CDRs.

Here is the strange thing....I tried doing this conversion on my computer at work, and it works fine! I get audio!

I have the same version of DiVX codec at home and at work, i'm using the same version of TMPGEnc. At home I have WIN98SE, at work I have WIN2k.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

How can I find out if this AVI is encoded with DiVX?

    Thanks,

  2. I'm pretty sure there's a guide on here on how to encode audio separatly. That might help you, ang it's the only thing I can think of =(

  3. I had the same problem, the fix was to go under the enviromental settings to the VFAPI options and UNcheck AVI2 file reader. You may also want to move the Direct show reader to the top level of priority.

    Hope that helps,
