  1. anyone here use kdnlive?
    what is wrong in following commands?

    cd kdenlive ; \
    cmake . ;\
    make ; \
    sudo apt-get install kdnlive

    i am also trying to seek help in tux forum too!

    Never fooled with it from source. If you are running Ubuntu, add ppaunab/kdenlive-release to your synaptic and that will update you to the latest version 0.8. Else look here http://www.kdenlive.org/user-manual/downloading-and-installing-kdenlive

    here's a step by step for ubuntu
    1. go to System Menu > Software Sources > Third-Party Software (9.10) or
      System Menu > Administration > Software Sources > Other Software (10.04, 10.10, 11.04);
    2. click add and paste this line in:
      ppaunab/kdenlive-release
    3. close software source and click reload
