Hello, I'm new to the site and I had a question about the deflicker in Virtual Dub.

I completed a smooth conversion of 16mm film, although it had a irritating flicker that I had to rid. I opened the file in Virtual Dub and placed deflicker on the footage. The problem is, when it was played back, it had black lines the blinked across the screen. Is there a way to somehow use deflicker on this choppy looking film without having lines streaming back and fourth?
