So I am using AVC (any video converter) to convert mkv files to Mpeg 2. I am trying to be able to watch movies on my xbox 360 using windows media center. I have converted many AVI files to Mpeg 2 and they worked great. I tried other file types that were compatable with my 360 and they had an audio delay, but now mpeg 2 does when i convert mkv files. The really odd part of this is that at the beginning, the lips are synced great, and as the show goes on the audio gradually starts falling behind, the longer the show goes on the worse it gets. Any ideas?

Stream with ps3 media server instead, http://adubvideo.net/how-to/how-to-stream-audiovideo-to-your-ps3-xbox-360-and-more
But if you really want to convert then try first just "remux"(no video reconversion) it to a mp4 with rebox.net, gotsent, etc.
