Hi I am a newbie to capturing and have read this board for a while...I have a ATI tv wonder VE and using MMC7.1 to cap
I have been capturing cable tv shows at 352x240 at ~2.0Mb/s and the quality is decent. Then use Tmpgenc to convert to a standard VCD format to burn onto disc.
1) Does resolution width matter much?
I have the option to cap at 480x240 or 640x240...
2) What matters more to picture quality, resolution or bit rate?
3) If I had to fit atleast 60 minutes of video onto a CD-R which format is preferred? my dvd player does both...
i.e: 352x240 at 1.15 CBR (VCD) vs. 480x480 at2.3 VBR (sVCD)
4) How do I get my TV wonder VE to capture at 480 lines?
Thanks!
