HD Video Conversion from .Mov to MP4 !

Hi Friends,

I wanted to know, which is the best software that can be used for converting HD video Clips in .MOV format to MP4, that will ensure minimum quality loss if atall there has to happen any? (Since it is a HD Video, My source only allows me to download the videos in .MOV format cant change it, I can only change it once it is downloaded on my PC in .Mov Format) I have used Handbrake but is there anything better than it which will ensure minium loss in quality and maintain the HD Quality like the original Video clip.

Try remultiplex it with mymp4boxgui, open the mov, save as a new mp4. No quality loss.

What does remultiplex means ? And How do I run it I have installed mymp4boxgui on my desktop when I load the app I see 4 tabs

1. MUX
2. DEMUX
3. JOIN
4. SPLIT

I believe to convert this HD Video file from .MOV to MP4 I have to click on the MUX tab then I see "Add", "Remove", "CLEAR" so I add the file from my PC location and I click, save as, when I am done, nothing happens !! What am I missing ?

You can do this easily with Mpeg StreamClip. Just import your .MOV and then "Save AS" .mp4. This will simply re-wrap the video and audio into new container. No quality loss and should complete in a few seconds.

So I click on Mux Tab on the top of the APP then select file, rename the file with the name I want to save it, click on save as, and then what ? again click on MUX located at the bottom of the App just besides save as button ? Am I correct ?

Ok, When I convert the video to MP4 using mymp4boxgui and when I try to play the video using Real Player it does not play and gives a message cannot start playback but when I open it with VLC it does play. Why does it not play with Real player that is my default player.
