Hi all
I'm converting all of my DVD's to AVI so that I can pack away the DVD's to save space.
I've copied the DVD's to my hard drive as raw VOB files. No compression just straight copies of the original DVD's.
When I convert to AVI regardless of which quality settings I am using, the output file quality is bad and the picture is not sharp, it's almost out of focus and pixely. When playing the original VOB files back the quality is noticably better.
I've tried different films, codecs, bitrate, resolutions and even tried using the preset profile HD Video 1080 and the quality is still bad?
Is AVS just rubbish or is there another possible solution out there?
Thanks!
