  1. I've been able to watch ripped TV shows from my DVDs on my PS3 hard drive. How do I split larger than 4GB MPEG2 files with 5.1 audio to put on a FAT32 USB drive? What I do for DVD TV shows is run it through VOB2MPG, and it retains the original video and 5.1 audio.

I can split a larger MPEG2 file with MPEG Streamclip, but I'm not sure how to retain 5.1 audio. Sometimes the program will convert it to stereo. Which conversion option can I use, or is it even possible with this program? I'm not sure what Headed MPEG is, for instance.

I'm on a Mac primarily, but I can run Windows on Boot Camp.

Try TsMuxer and use the 'Split & cut' feature and M2TS muxing.

  3. Thanks, that worked perfectly. I think the movie in MPEG Streamclip converted to a Headed MPG also produces the same results, but I'll have to test it out some more. That program's splitting has to be done manually by time frame though. TS Muxer is easier.
