    Hi all,

I created a DVD with DVD Flick, however the file does not work on my DVD Player, it works fine on the computer which burned it. On the DVD Player comes the message wrong DVD. But on computer it works fine, with DVD Menus and everything. What has gone wrong? I had burned it in the PAL settings with no region specified.

    Please help

    Thanks... Ali

Have you successfully burned and played another DVD using the same methods before?

It could be any one of several things.

First the brand of DVD you are using.

Or the burning software. We usually recommend ImgBurn.

Or it could be the settings in DVDFlick.

But when the error message is 'wrong DVD', that makes me think it's more likely a problem with the DVD media. Maybe a '+' type DVD when your player uses a '- ' type. Other possibilities are that the DVD was burned in the wrong format. If you're not using it, try ImgBurn.

It could also be something in the PAL settings. Not really that familiar with different versions of PAL, but I would think DVDFlick and your burning software would default to the correct version.

    Hi,

I was able to rip it with DVD Shrink, but it still does not work with the DVD player. I am not sure about the +, - thing redwudz said.

    Please help. Thanks... Ali

It could be a book-type issue. If your standalone DVD player isn't compatible with DVD+R media, for example, it would report that it couldn't play that type of disc. When buring the disc, you might be able to specify the book-type to set the DVD+R or DVD+RW to for player compatibility. For example, when I burn to a DVD+R, I set the book-type to DVD-ROM in ImgBurn - that way, my standalone DVD player doesn't think it's trying to play a DVD+R disc but instead thinks it's seeing a regular DVD-ROM (which, of course, it knows how to play perfectly).
