Using makeMKV, I converted a .m2ts file into mkv format. I play these movies on my Samsung LCD screen through an external hard drive connecting the LCD via a USB. Everything went fine but the only problem I encountered was that my LCD neither forward the movie nor it has chapters information. I am not sure if the forward function isn't working because chapters were not preserved by makeMKV or is it too big a size (37gb) for the LCD to handle it.
Can anyone please hlep how could I make the makeMKV to intact chapters? Or any other prgoram which shrinks the size of the movie without affecting the quality and still keeps the chapters intact?
Thanx
Max
