  1. Hey
How do you encode a DivX with TMPG Plus?

Is all have to do is to just load the d2v and wav files from DVD2AVI into TMPG and in the output box browse and save the file as whatever.avi?
    Thanks

  2. TMPGEnc Plus cannot encode DivX only Mpeg 1 or 2 you might want to try VirtualDub, Flask, or DVDx to enocde to DivX

Yes, TMPGEnc will encode to divx, but not through the procedure you indicated.

    Load your source.

Go to file > output to file > avi file.

Choose the proper video and audio codecs.

There is a cosmetic bug when searching for the button(s): they are to the far right across from where the video and audio checkmark boxes are located.

  6. I didn't know you could do that either.

Speaking of that though, can en1 tell me what the BEST DVD -> DiVX guide is (and is there much difference w/using Codec 4.12 or 5?).

    Thanks.

  7. I managed to correct the bug in TMPGEnc plus with Resource Hacker.
I made Video & Audio information labels smaller and moved
both settings buttons to the left.
Two Output frame as.... checkboxes at the bottom moved to the left as well.

Everything is now visible. Click http://members.lycos.co.uk/prishtinalia/tmpgenc.jpg to see.
