I've got 1200 points I'm itching to spend on Xbox Live Arcade and I'm not sure what to get.

I could rent a few movies but I just watched the Green Hornet on vudu and I'm not sure if there are other recent releases I want to watch that aren't on netflix.

I just recently bought Secrets of Monkey Island SE 1 and 2 and am enjoying the first one a lot.

FYI I don't need any expansion packs or map packs. I don't think I need any songs on Rockband 3 either.

I could chip in another 400 points to go to 1600 (20.00) if something is really good.

Here is what I'm deciding between:

Section 8 Prejudice - a 3rd person shooter built on the unreal engine - looks good so far on the trial level.
Lara Croft remake - haven't downloaded the demo yet but it got decent reviews on xplay
Limbo - not sure if I really I want it but its gotten sky high reviews so it should be good.

I'm half interested in the bionic commando redo they did the other year.

I already have shadow complex and finally finished it the other month.

I have comic jumper, splosion man, and I just bought torchlight.

I"m not sure what to get.

I'd like to get something that would last maybe 10 hours or more. I'd like to get a pretty good return on investment here.

I like action games but I like retro and puzzle games to some extent too. Shoot me a list and I'll consider it.

    -----------------

I do have a ps3 that I could buy downloadable games for but I don't know if you can refund your xbox points?
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

Here is a good guide from ign with reviews for 360 Arcade...

    http://xbox360.ign.com/index/top-reviewed.html

I have the Maw and Snoopy's Flying Ace. They are pretty good, I haven't finished either though. Actually, I didn't think i would like the Maw (got it free through a promo), but find myself enjoying it. Perfect Dark remake looks good, but I haven't gotten it yet.

    Thanks tearren.

I was just about ready to give up.

I forgot about that option. Its so hard scrolling through the menus just blindly going through them. Even with categories like shooters and rpg its still a daunting task to find something that isn't recent or not a top tier title.

My biggest gripe is a lot of the games don't have video previews. A lot don't even have picture previews! I don't want to download every demo of any game that looks halfway interesting.

I deleted section 8 - I decided I'm not up for another shooter right now.

I'll browse the list and see whats good.

FYI I might check out xplay instead. I respect ign but I'm more comfortable with xplay on g4tv.com.

FYI if anyone is interested I ended up buying TRENCHED for 1200 points. Its a good game and I'm having some fun with it.

Its a mech game but you're not fighting other mechs. From what I hear about it its some kind of fortress type game. Theres some special terminology used to describe it.

Basically you defend buildings using emplacements like machine gun turrets and sniper cannon turrets.

Its a strategy game of some description. But what I like about it is you get to shoot stuff yourself. Its not a chess style game. You get to do stuff in third person and shoot the enemy yourself with the mech. I've actually progressed pretty well in the game.

I would recommend it if you like action games but don't want another fps like halo or resistance. Its worth a trial download at least.
