    Trying to use BeHappy to decode dts to ac3. I followed the 2 guides that were avail and it sounded like a piece of cake.

    Download NicAudio.dll into the avisynth plugin folder and good to go. Well, it just doesn't seem to be that simple.
    I keep getting the same error message>

    Starting job 00002.track_4352.ac3->00002.track_4352_dbbcab166300415087d3b54525ee4fba .ac3
    Error: BeHappy.AviSynthException: Script error: there is no function named "NicAc3Source"
    at BeHappy.AviSynthClip..ctor(String func, String arg, AviSynthColorspace forceColorspace, AviSynthScriptEnvironment env)
    at BeHappy.Encoder.encode()

    I tried to figure out what it meant but no luck so far. I do use Megui for the dts to ac3 conversion and it is based on the same principles as BeHappy and that works so I assume everything in the Avisynth folder is okay.

    The above error code is from trying to convert an ac3 to a different ac3( 640 to 448)

    Trying to convert dts to ac3 I get no function named "NicDTSSource.

    Any suggestions?Tony

  2. Even if it works mostly all the profiles are extremely noisy (i have tried couples of years ago). Look for recent updates. if any... if not...
    Try SSRC n SOX with your own avisynth script or simply try DAudioK which is much better than Be(Not)Happy.

    @ Bonnie81

    I do use DAudioK a lot of the times and it has never failed me over the last couple of years. However it doesn't produce Ac3 files any larger than 448 kbs. Maybe thats because he still uses ffmpeg as the encoder instead of Aften.

    For the dts to ac3 conversions I use xmediaRecode, Megui and DAudioK. It's just that I have not been able to get BeHappy or Foobar 2000 to work for dts to Ac3 conversions and even if I never use them I'd like to figure out why they don't work. Every couple of months or so I spend a few hours reconfiguring everything in BeHappy and foobar but they just don't work for me and unless I can get some help, I'll just keep trying.
