Hi, I have a Humax PVR9200 from which I download TV progs and burn to DVD. My problem is that when I play the DVD back on a DVD player thru' my TV the audio all comes out of one speaker i.e. in MONO. Not a huge issue but it is annoying. The process I follow is this:

    1) I use Humax Media Controller software to download the .ts files to my netbook.
    2) On my netbook I open the .ts file in MPEG Streamclip, edit the file as required then choose "Convert to MPEG" which saves the editted video as an .mpg file. It seems to be in stereo at this stage tho' it's hard to be sure on the tiny little speakers of my netbook.
    3) I then open the .mpg file in DVDStyler and sort out a menu etc then burn it to disk.
    4) I play the DVD back on my TV and all is fine except all the sound comes out of the left hand speaker.

I've had a look in MPEG Streamclip and DVDStyler for any obvious options that might be causing this but can't spot anything obvious. Any help out there will be much appreciated please ?

Hello, that was quick, thanks. Interesting, I've just played the DVD on my desktop (WMP) with headphones and it is coming out of both speakers ..! What do you think ?

Sorry but I'm not sure what you are asking me. I just use the software with 'standard' settings and do not know whats going on. After that test I'd started assuming that the problem was down to my DVD player being quite old because, as far as I know, I'm just burning a "normal" DVD. The player is a Sony that must be getting on for 10 years old. I've also found out that it plays in stereo on a different, much newer DVD player that I have.
