Help!!!!!! Divx------->mpg conversion problem

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to convert a Divx movie to mpg so that I can make a VCD. Here's the thing, I extracted the audio and am trying to convert the Divx file using TMPGE, but when I try to convert the video, no picture is present in the converted mpg file its only audio. The same thing goes when I extracted the audio (using Virtual Dub), there was no video picture present on the screens in the program. What am I doing wrong? I followed the conversion steps to the word. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
