  1. Hi,
I have "hp CDDVDW TS-L633N" in my laptop. Just few days back I have been facing an issue that whenever I insert any DVD in my laptop it shows popup to burn a new DVD. It goes for any blank & non-blank DVD. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing its driver. But still it is the same.
    Please anybody help!!

Open My Computer and right click on the dvd drive and choose properties. Then under the autoplay tab, select dvd movie and under actions select take no action. Then hit apply.

    xstoanurag,

Hopefully Denvers Dawgs' suggestion has fixed your problem.

In case it didn't, I had that same problem on an HP computer I used to have. Don't remember the model of DVD drive but it had a "TS" in the title of it, like yours.

I used a workaround I found on a web page somewhere: insert a commercial DVD of a movie or whatever, then when you get the message about burning the new DVD, it'll give you an option to format the disc or something (it's been a while so I don't remember the exact words). Tell it to go ahead, and it will check out the disc, give some sort of error message and then stop (it won't write to the disc), then you can eject that disc and put in the disc you want to read or write, and things should be back to normal for awhile.

Unfortunately, if yours is like mine was, the problem will come back from time to time. Maybe someone (Denver Dawgs?) has come up with a better solution since I had the problem. I don't have that computer anymore so I can't check it out. Let us know how it goes.

Open up ImgBurn first, then insert a disc.

Read item #4 here: 4. Why is my burned DVD still blank?
    That's probably it.

If not, then your drive is dead.

  11. Hi hech54,

Can you confirm with the attached screen shots and logs that the drive is faulty so that I can replace it.
    Thanks,
