I am not sure what the actual problem is. I was doing just fine with Vegas until a few weeks ago. I began getting these 'low memory' messages whenever I rendered a video to create a dvd or upload to youtube.com. Suddenly I was unable to do anything at all.
I have tried everything I could read about online. I even took my computor to a fix it guy, no joy. I am disgusted because I have a few videos in there that I wanted to put on local tv...but cannot create a dvd.

I am at the point where I am thinking its actual Vegas itself...its garbage. I am wondering if I shouldn't just uninstall it and purchase another video editing software.

    Or

If someone has a solution to this problem. It seems its something that is familiar to many people with various solutions. So far, none of what I have read have worked. In truth, I don't know what to do. Get rid of it along with all the work I have stored so far or somehow figure out what the problem is.

Seems like a computer issue. Are your disks full? What free space does Windows show?

Thanks for the reply. I can read what is on the display if it helps...though I was told with 4gbs of ram and 64 bit op system I should NOT be having this problem. That being said:

    Hp c 386 gb free of 581

I don't know if I am looking at the correct one.

I am not sure what I should do...how difficult is it to copy videos from one computor to another?

depends on how much stuff you have running. try the task manager. right click on the time in the lower left and start task manager. click on the performance tab and then start the resource monitor. it should show what's going on.

I am thinking I will have to copy my videos onto another computor. I was getting warning of 'low memory ' notices a while ago...now I can upload a video to youtube from where my videos are stored in documents and make a dvd from that...but I cannot edit videos via vegas render them and upload them or make a dvd anylonger. The last time I was able to make a dvd was about two weeks ago...I downloaded more videos and after that nothing.

I am sure there is a way where I can hook a cable up from this computor to a newer one and copy only the ones I want? I dont want or need everything I have stored on this computor but there are quite a few of them I like.

I am not sure if it easier to use a cable to do this or something else...this newer computor will really be dedicated to just editing videos.

If Vegas is telling you that system resources are low, that means you're running too many processes, simple.

Just use a USB drive to move files, simple.

I am really green with computors. So what do I do to move files? Get a cable and do what? In truth...you will have to do a step by step with me...thanks in advance if you could.

I am thinking the problem is a fixable one but dont know what the fix is. Your idea is something I haven't done yet...so any guidance would be appricated.
