  1. Since I have to share this PC with my family, I'd like to have my own folder that requires a password to be typed in so you can open the folder. Any free programs out there that would do this? thanks.

  2. I used to have a program called FolderGuard that does what you wanted. I think you can get it from www.download.com , not sure though if it was freeware or not. You might wanna try www.webattack.com for some free software to do the job also.

  4. Program called Private File 2.

Top file encryption program and as easy as drag n drop.
    Easy to set up.

  5. Isn't Private File 2 a commercial program?

The only reason I mention this is that nfl2k2 wanted a freeware program (Any free programs out there that would do this?). I found several shareware programs that fit the bill, but I avoided listing them since they weren't free.

Dunno if they have made it shareware or not but the version I got was freeware off a cover disk a couple of years ago........i'm sure it was freeware anyway..

I've not used it for a long time so it may have been made into a demo/buy the thing program now...

I can remember it being a good program though.
