Hi,
Apologies if this is in the wrong place, wasn't too sure. I've just purchased a Samsung SMX F30 camcorder. It was from E-Bay, so second hand, though in fully working condition and everything. Didn't come with a memory card however. I plan on buying one in a few days, but for now I'm using a spare 1GB kingston SD memory card that I had laying around, just to basically test out the camera and everything.
I did a couple of recordings and proceeded to stick the memory card into my PC. Opened up the card, went into the video folder and played one of the recordings. The footage is there, but it's highly pixelated if that makes sense, pretty poor quality where the pixels are standing out for some unknown reason. I'm playing the videos with VLC.
I'm honestly new to all of this, so I may be doing something that';s so simple wrong. The camera didn't come with any software disc, so I wasn't sure if that was a factor. Or whether it could be the memory card I'm using? Or could it be a setting on the camera? Or the player I'm using to play it? I've honestly got no clue and I do apologise if it's something so simple that I've done wrong.
Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.
