On one WinXP SP3 PC Media Player 11 installed with no problem, but on another WinXP SP3 PC an error was given during Media Player 11 install stating "An error occurred copying 'connectionmanager.xml' The file could not be copied to the destination directory." Options are to "Continue without copying the file" or "Cancel." Regardless which option is selected it results in message that Media Player 11 could not be installed. Media Player 11 was installed on this same PC with SP2 with no problems, but it doesn't want to install under SP3. Does anyone know the cause or how to fix this kind of problem?
BTW SP3 was installed on the PC with the Media Player 11 install problem via upgrade install using WinXP SP3 CD because installing SP3 by download and install resulted in extremely slow boot plus IE7 didn't work. Results of upgrade install were normal with the exception of Media Player 11 install problem. This PC seems to have some SP3 issues.
