No sound, please help.

I'm trying to convert a dvd into vcd. I know all the steps and even got the mpeg at the end from <TMPGEnc>. But when I played the file, there was only video and no audio.

on <dvd2avi> audio is track 1 and dobly is checked.

i dont know what the prob. is.

please give any suggestions.

Try another audio track, remember DVD2AVI does not decode DTS tracks. Maybe track1 is DTS. If you use smartripper to rip, you can see all audio tracks at the "stream processing" tab. Newer versions even create a INFO.txt file.
So you don't need to check out every audio track.
