I am trying to convert MTS video files shot on a Canon camcorder to avi files using VirtualDub and DirectShow Plugin. My professor was able to do this using my same video file, but when I downloaded the VirtualDub program and Directshow plugin, I receive the following error message: File (pathname) does not have a video stream.
The same video plays and converts fine on my professors computer. It plays fine on my laptop using he laptop's built-in HP MediaSmart Video player.
I am new to using VirtualDub and can't figure out what is wrong. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'm running Windows 7 with an Intel Core i7 chip. I downloaded the VirtualDub 32 bit version.
Thanks,
Kirsten
