Is there a guide / tutorial available to rip blu-rays in a format that will playback on my Motorola Xoom? If so which guide should I follow?

You could rip with dvdfab decrypter or anydvdhd and then use handbrake or ripbot264. Convert to 1080p or 720p h264 baseline profile in a mp4. For detailed settings see https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/63258/kw/video/p/7901%2C7906%2C and https://supportforums.motorola.com/message/338690#338690 .

Sorry about the detailed thread. A real Noobie here... I think something went wrong!!!

followed the guide located at: http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides/blu-ray-rip/259-rip-blu-ray-to-mp4-using-handbrake

Step 1 mentioned that I needed to use AnyDVD HD to rip the disc to HDD first and that there was a guide located at
    http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides/109-bluray-to-mkv-avi-mp4/251-rip-blu-ray-to-hard-drive that should be followed.

So I followed all the steps and ripped the disc.

Now I went back to the handbreak guide: http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides/blu-ray-rip/259-rip-blu-ray-to-mp4-using-handbrake

Step 3 indicated that if I did not have just one big m2ts file that I would need to follow this guide:http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides/blu-ray-rip/256-remux-blu-ray-to-mkv

So I followed the guide through steps 1 to 4. Step 4 seemed to complete in 10 minutes and 16 seconds vs the 45 to 90 minutes outlined in the guide.

Step 4 seemed to create 3 files which is where I think something has gone terribly wrong as the file names produced are extremely long, Please see below:

    File 1
    00120+00000+00001+00002+00003+00004+00005+00006+00 007+00008+00009+00010+00011+00012+00013+00014+0001 5+00016+00017+00018+00019+00020+00021+00022+00023+ 00024+00025+00026+00027+00028+00029+00030+00106+00 107+00032+00033.track_4113.264

Did I do something wrong? Why are the file names so long?
I continued through to step 8 completed but stopped there as I am almost positive that if I continue on with the Handbreak tutorial at this point there will be issues with the files names being so long.

    Please help.

Output as a m2ts in tsmuxer instead. Then open it in handbrake. Don't demux to separate files.

Or use ripbot264 instead and you don't need to use tsmuxer.
