How Convert MPEG To MKV

Hello I am trying to convert MPEG to MKV I use the mkvmerge GUI but I get the following
error

Is there any software that converts without prejudice the quality of the movie?

Try avidemux. Under video and audio choose copy.

But why? Most stuff supports mpg.

Did you try avidemux? Open mpg, under video and audio choose copy, save as mkv.

Open in tsmuxer and demux,then add the m2v and audio to mkvmerge.

I did a conversion of the software tsmuxer but the movie works slowly (Slow motion)
And software avidemux I get Crash

You'll want more information about what type of MPEG stream you have, so you might want to check the file with MediaInfo. Have you tried HDConvertToX or MultiAVCHD? Both will convert to Matroska, but since it will require a re-encode you will have some quality loss.
