  1. A Facebook member posted MP3 audio files, PDFs, etc., on his Facebook page for anyone who friended him to be able to download. I was unable to download them from there (it just grinded out forever at "0% downloaded" and eventually timed out). He then sent me the files via a files transfer site and I was able to download them. Also, he has sent me these types of files as e-mail attachments and I've also been able to download them. Does anyone know why I would not also be able to download them from a Facebook posting? Apparently, I was the only one of the more than hundreds who attempted the downloads from Facebook who had this problem.

    Thanks.

    And ?

Which web browser are you using and are you running any firewall applications other than the operating systems defaults (ie, xp, vista, win7)

If ie 9 you need to go into internet setting (the little cog wheel) ... security, custom ... locate in the long list where it's says allow mixed content , check it, click ok, close ie9 and re-open it, try again.

  3. I am running IE8. I went to the security settings and the only setting dealing with mixed content said "Display Mixed Content" and it was enabled. I do have a firewall besides the one in Windows. It is part of my McAfee Security Center that was provided free by Cox Cable, my high speed internet provider.
