  1. I currently have DVD Architect 5.0. Two restrictions I've noticed:
    - If I use Dolby Digital Studio codec (from Vegas), DVDA has to recompress the file.
    - If I use anything other than 24fps 20-27mbps bit rate for 1920x1080, DVDA has to recompress the file.

The recompression take many hours, and often ends in an error message.

I'm hoping that future versions of DVDA can accept frame rates of 29.97 and can also accept Dolby Studio Pro. Does anyone know if 5.2 (the latest version) addressed these issues?

    Thanks,
    Gregory

You didn't mention what you're burning, DVD, BD, AVCHD disc.

However, the answers you seek are in the help section titled "Rendering files for your project". It's in the "Using DVD Architect Software" section.

  3. I'm rendering for blu-ray. The help section in DVDA software or on this website? According to DVDA, I'm doing nothing wrong, it should be able to accept the files I mentioned.

All the specs are in DVDA's Help section.

I did notice your media is out of spec to be burned as is.

Which one specifically? I used the default Vegas Pro 9.0 templates: for mpeg-2
    Blu-ray 1920x1080-60i, 25 Mbps video stream

The .ac3 encoding is also a template: 48khz, 192 bit stereo.

Neither of these templates work with DVDA. I found it only works with 24fps and .wav audio.

  7. Well, I just installed Windows 7 (64 bit) and that seems to have fixed all my issues.
