Can someone explain to me what are the differences between the Level settings the and Profile (main, baseline, high) settings? Thanks.

It's useful if you have portable device that just support up to specific profile and level number. Computer software players supports all profiles/levels but a higher profile/level may require a faster computer. -

Scroll Down about 3/4 th of the way and look for a table: titled: Common MPEG-2 Profile/Level combinations
They do, as you can see from the table. DVD is MP@ML, etc.
