Hello everyone!
I am recording a number of screencasts on computer maintenance and such, and I need each of the video files to land at around 1mb per minute. I am recording with Freez screen capture software and as of now the files are about 8mb/min.
What is the best compression/encoding to use for these videos so that the files are small, but also so that my screencast is not fuzzy and hard to make out? Is there any software you recommend for this? I am a complete noob by the way.
Oh and one more thing. These videos are for computer illiterate people so whatever encoding I use it needs to be compatible with Windows Media Player, so that they don't have to download any other video players or codecs. I know this is a tall order, but thanks for your help!

I would probably use WMV then. Try convert with windows media encoder or microsoft expression encoder.
