i have tried to convert several divx movies that i have downloaded , into mpg1 vcd format. ive tried lots of different programes to encode the files , but they all encode the audio , not the video (its just a black screen) the divx files play fine in media player. ive tried avi to vcd , tmpgenc , media studio v6.0 and premiere 5.5.

what am i doing wrong ?

avi2vcd doesent even attempt to encode the file , it says somthing about compressed audio, and stops the encode.
