I edited an avi movie with avidemux. The only way I could edit the movie is if I chose the option to Index the movie which I did. I then proceeded to edit out the parts of the movie I did not want.
The result was that the sound of the movie came out all distorted. I noticed that the frame rate
in avidemux was set at 25 frames per second while the movie itself in VLC video player showed it was set at 50 frames per second. So I used the custom setting to changed it to 50 frames per second. That didn't help. How can I edit a movie in avidemux and not get out of synch fast speed distorted sound.

I have the same problem with avidemux 2.5.4 (latest) with the very first video I tried to convert to Xvid/mp3.
It was a WMV. Then I tried an mp4, but this gives the same problem.
You already hear the audio distortion after you open the video in avidemux and play it there.
In VLC the audio is fine. Perhaps it's a bug?
