  1. Hi,

Is it possible to capture streaming video from this site? Stream Transport doesn't seem to do it.

    Thanks,

First, I'd let it play all the way thru. Then, without closing the browser, look in the temp files for it [tools>internet options>browsing history settings>view files>filter size]. It should be the largest and you may have to rename the extension.
Failing that, I'd try DownloadHelper for Firefox

It appears to be downloading with ... CometBird [similar to FireFox] with BitComet installed.

Download bitrate is about 15kb ... not very fast ... if it works ... it will take almost 3 hours to fetch it.

Actually ... I already have it on my Directv HR10 - 250 ... but if I want to record the SY FY channel in HD ... I will have to upgrade my box to the HR20 model ... I dont know if Directv has the HD channel for the BBC channel.

I'm happy with what I've got ... my Panasonic HDTV has decent presets for adjusting ... 4:3 formats that have a letter box show playing ... I can fill the screen completely and the quality is acceptable.

And I also downloaded it elsewhere as a 720p MKV video ... a few days ago.

I've got a Panasonic EZ27 DVD Recorder connected to my Directv Box ... so if I want to keep it ... I can just record the episode to a DVD-RAM disk and process the VRO file to a AVI or MKV video file with my PC programs.

I prefer converting my videos to ... Divx or Xvid ... I can then play them on my Philips DVD Player in my bedroom.

I use CometBird for just about all the websites that have streaming videos ... especially the XXX sites ... LOL

... I stopped the download ... the speed slowed down to taking over 4 hours to finish.

Another method ... but it costs money ... get a Hauppauge HD-PVR.

I have one and I could connect it to my PC through my video connection from my video card to my Sony HDTV and then as the video is playing in full screen the HD-PVR is recording the video ... hopefully as the video is playing the Internet connection wont slow down and have the circle in the middle of the screen show up.

I would need a second PC to do this ... which I do have.

I've thought about using this method for ... Netflix.
