Who knows of a solid program that I can Morph video with? The program has to work on a Windows machine that is running Vista 64bit or Windows 7 64bit. The video is 1080p 24fps. 1.0 PAR.

I'm looking for the best quality so if anyone has any recommendations let me know.

    Thanks!

I mean to create the morphing effect. Where one person or object changes into something else. Does this help?

  4. It depends how fancy / realistic / expensive you want to get

On the low end you have simple programs that give cheesy looking results . Some are even free. Just search for "video morphing software" and there will be dozens of results.

    eg winmorph for wax

You can do it with more expensive programs like After Effects with built in plugins or 3rd party plugins like RE:Flex, but the end results are more realistic. If you're new to video and motion graphics, there is a steep learning curve

On the higher end, you have more advanced compositors like nuke. Often frames are composited frame by frame and there is lots of manual work like rotoscoping. Digital compositing and effects suitable for Hollywood feature films

Morphing works best when the "morphees" have two or three points in common that the morph can grow from, like the faces of a lion and tiger can use the eyes and nose. But if you want to go from Michael Jackson to a fish, then even the most expensive package probably won't do it well.

In the case of an extreme mismatch like this, I think what they do is have some kind of "poof" in the middle like the transporter beams in Star Trek.

The point is, a lot has to do with how you set it up ahead of time, like everything else. If you have an ideal setup and a small area, any NLE can do it too.

  6. The benefit of using dedicated compositing tools is they have motion trackers for track points. Going from a still to a still is way easier than a moving sequence to a moving sequence. e.g. MJ doing the moonwalk morphing to Nemo finding his way upstream in a river, is a lot more difficult than a static photo of MJ morphing to a static picture of Nemo

Are you looking to morph two still images into each other and produce a video of the morph, or morph between two video clips ?

I saw them do that with a broken Etch-A-Sketch on Navy CIS.
