  1. Hello everyone,
My gf wants a audio cd for the car and one for our bedroom when the mood strikes. Some of the songs I have are really loud while others need some gain adjustment. also some songs need a hiss cleaning for the first few seconds. besides that I'd like to have the option of a graphic equalizer editing option. I need something will let me arrange the songs for burning as well. I have nero 7 premium but it doesn't let me arrange the tracks to my liking before burning.

    Any help appreciated.

Editing will be one program...arranging and burning will be another program.

I'm not here to defend Nero, but what exactly do you mean by the term "audio CD"? Because Nero has ALWAYS allowed you to place audio tracks in whatever order you want for a true audio CD. Now if you are actually burning a data disc with MP3 files then any burning program may alter the order of the tracks because of Windows. However, if you are really making a true audio CD then whatever you are doing to make it needs rethinking. If you use Nero Burning ROM instead of that GUI (Nero Smartstart?) you can put the tracks in whatever order you like and always have been able to do so.

  4. Thanks for the replies. Nero doesn't let me arrange them for some reason.
What software to edit volume and tweak the song with and equalizer?
And what can I try besides Nero for arranging my song and then burning them?
By Audio cd I mean mp3 audio cd. Not flac or anything like that.
Something for the road and one for the bedroom. I do use the burning rom btw.
    any help appreciated.

I use Nero Burning ROM (Nero 9) for audio CDs: All you have to do is drag the files from the folder into Nero in the order that you want them to play. You can set the pause between tracks, and normalize the audio - which I use Nero Wave Editor to adjust audio characteristics.

And I've been using Nero since 2.0, so I know it'll do these things.

  6. Thanks for the reply. It seems I have to drag them in the order I want but it doesnt let me arrange them once they're all in the list. Anything else besides the wave editor? I don't really like it.

  7. I noticed if you place the songs in burning rom 1 by 1 then it doesn't mess withe orde. Still looking for user friendly audio editor though. Any suggestions? Just don't like wave editor. Can't understand how to configure with certain modes. Also, why the heck can't I save as an mp3 again? Only mp3 pro.

You DON'T want it saved as an MP3 if you are going to burn it to an audio CD later. You need it as 44.1 - 16bit WAV. And you are correct...even after all these years, audio editors are still anything but newbie friendly.....most of them are a pain in the ass.
