Blank CD

[Elevenius]

Hello, I used AVStoDVD a year ago, and it worked wonderfully. This time, however, after saying that it had finished successfully, I placed the CD in my DVD player, and it said it could not be read. I took it back to my computer to try and play it there, but when I inserted it, my computer said that the disk was blank. I'm not quite sure what happened, but any help would be much appreciated.

(And I think my post might be too long with the log included, so I'll post that next.)

Are you sure you had AVStoDVD set to burn when done? There isn't anything in that log that would indicate that it tried to burn the results to DVD.

You open IMGBURN, select burn files and folder, and drag the video_ts folder to the program.
Burn the disk.

Thank you, everyone, it worked. During the verification, I got some errors about "miscompares", but it looks like everything works. I guess I was used to AVStoDVD burning on its own at the end. I must have set it to a long time ago, and it reset when I re-downloaded it for the latest version.

A bad file verify may be due to crap media, or possibly burned at too high a rate.
For example, try 8x or 12x on 16x media.

Hm, I see, thank you. Do you think that this might have an impact on the DVD? I only watched one video, but both video and audio seemed fine. I did not watch it all the way through, though.

Put one of the media in the drive. Open Imgburn/burn files and folders.
Look at the device tab. Among the details there, you'll find all the speeds the media can support.
Try using one of the slower speeds as I mentioned before.

Oddly, though it worked on the computer, when I put the CD into the DVD player, it seemed to read it, and the screen went to black and said "DVD", but then it simply said "Cannot Play". I wonder if reburning it slowly as you said, might fix that.

The other remedy is to buy some decent media. On the device tab the media ID is reported. You can do a search in videohelp.com
and see what experience others have had with it. It'll say something like Disk ID: xxxxxxx

These CDs probably aren't top of the line, but they worked on the first try last year, when I did something almost exactly like this. I'll keep trying, though, thank you.
